Not only mutually compatible or complementary, but a necessity for many of us.

Perfecte match, dat wil zeggen voor de buitenkant van het potlood, want het potloodje kleurt fris groen.

The perfect match, that is to say, from the outside, bcause the pencis writes in a fresh apple green color.

Good food, fine & fast service.
My Perfect Match round 4 entry! :)
Heh, this is how I spent most of my afternoon. I struggled a bit trying to fit all the pieces together for some silly reason. But hopefully it turned out alright.
Going with Clarissa and Lucas' backgrounds, I figured this theme was appropriate! XD

Segregated but this time in little "tasting spoons" (which look like Chinese soup spoons). One of the reasons I do these challenges is to keep the creative juices flowing. Trust me, I'd never have taken pics of peas and carrots without that challenge! Also why I like the challenges that need to be taken after announced, otherwise it is not very challenging. LOL Anyway, another thing I have been doing to challenge myself is to think in "square format". I am really just awaiting the cooler weather so I can get out much more again!
Diego update:
the good news… I got a call the other day from a very nice woman who was looking for a companion for her father. She said she had a Chihuahua/miniature pinscher that looked a lot like Diego, and her father was always trying to “steal” her dog away. When she saw Diego, she thought he would be perfect for her father. Her father has no other dogs and no cats (Diego doesn’t like cats, and even though he gets along with other dogs, they sometimes get too much for him to handle… he likes it quiet). I thought this would be the ideal home for Diego.
The bad news…. The next day I took Diego to the vet to be heartworm tested and then neutered. The heartworm test came back positive (so he couldn’t be neutered either – they won’t do surgery on a heartworm positive dog). I was so worried that this would screw up Diego’s chance at getting adopted. We’ve been seeing more and more cases of heartworm lately – please everyone – please keep up with heartworm preventative for your dogs!!
The second good news: I called the woman, who said that her father wanted to see Diego, even though he was heartworm positive. We met yesterday. I liked Ken (that’s the father) immediately. He’s like a cuddly grandpa! And Ken loved Diego right away! I explained how the heartworm treatment works, etc, and then told him that he could think about it for a few days if he would like. Without a moment of hesitation Ken said “Oh no! I already know I want him!” So Diego went in for his heartworm treatment right after meeting Ken. I’ll pick him up from the vet today and keep him with me tomorrow, and then on Saturday, Diego will go to his new home! Ken is from Michigan, but he wants to move here to be near his daughter, but he still needs to sell his home in Michigan. So at the end of the month, Ken and Diego are going to take a road trip to Michigan and stay for a few months until Ken’s home is sold. Ken told me not to worry about Diego – there is a vet right down the road from his home in Michigan, and if he notices the slightest thing wrong, he’ll take Diego to the vet right away. Ken was so excited to be getting a new friend! After we parted yesterday, he went to the store and bought Diego some food, a new collar and leash, toys (which I’m not sure Diego will use) and a new crate. Ken said he wasn’t sure he’d really need the crate, because he expects Diego will be sleeping in bed with him!
I’m just so happy that Diego has found a home, and one that couldn’t be more perfect. Both Diego and Ken walk slowly, just like to hang out, and are a couple of quiet older guys. They are a match made in heaven!
I messed up with these photos and had my settings wrong, so unfortunately, when Diego is in focus, Ken isn't and vise versa. darn it!
