30 Days of Perception - Day 15
Walking back from an appointment, I lingered purposely and caught something bright from the corner of my eye. I turned my head and looked over through a garden in the shade. Over the fence on the other side, I saw hanging vines framing a colourful scene. It was an unexpected sunny encounter. Lingering brings many gifts!

A few weeks ago I posted The Doors of Perception. I thought it was a good result overall but I wasn't entirely satisfied with it.
This is a shot from another angle and a bit darker. I wanted to emphasize the rays of light breaking through the pilings to better visualize the famous quote from Aldous Huxley:
''If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern."

Y este milagro de ser aquí la vida/...El milagro de verla, de sentirla/...asir lo que nos da, lo que contiene/para que vaya y vuelva con su música/de lo que soy a lo que eres/de tus palabras a las mías

After chatting with Darren Hopkins. and getting inspired on his amazing new take on the orb.Thought i would have a play with Orbs again. Not sure about them yet. think i need to iron out a few issues.
this is for a project, inspired by The Great Gatsby. I convinced my AP language teacher to make the final project after the AP exam a creative project so I could take photos. so now I'm taking photos about self discovery and actualization.
What do you see? The end of days or just the beginning? Fear or enlightenment?
2012 has just begun. Who knows what this year will bring? Hopefully the good will outweigh the bad in the coming year, but even if it doesn't, those bad experiences are the ones that build our strength, make us value what we have, and provide us with creative fodder.
Maybe I'm getting older and wiser because I'm starting to think that there are no bad experiences; they are just a matter of perception...and action.

Sometimes it isn't that easy to distinguish between flying and reality. Is this how we percieve our own conscience?
Hay veces que no es tan fácil distinguir entre volar y la realidad. ¿Es así como percibimos nuestra propia consciencia?
What seems so obvious to us, may not be true at all. Life can be what it is not; or what we don't think it is.
