Janey. she's kind obese but I love her to death.<3

For this project I wanted to look at the human form from an abstract view, taking away any previous experience or relation to the human body I wanted to create this new physical form relating more to extra terrestrials and the idea of life beyond earth.

What would they look like ?

how would they move ?

Enjoy

The topic 'Human Perception' is what I've chosen to study in Studio Arts this year. This is made from one photograph of me, just flipped around. It's to represent the two contrasting sides of how we can be percieved. There is this feminine beauty that so many of us live up to, the stereotypical features, which is what the left side would hopefully represent. The right side is a more down-to-earth, realistic view on somebody.

Human tend to perceive things schematically which leads to judging. Our biased visual perception may at times lead to the wrong attribution. The above image shows us a photo which is flipped horizontally and with a toy in the middle. Only colors differentiate them but how does the human eyes perceive it? At the end of the day, it is still the same image n the same toy.

We often take our developed perception of an object's weight for granted. It's amazing to witness someone who hasn't lost her curiosity of things.
