Predicting Perceptions: The 3rd International Conference on Appearance. Just a few pictures to share. Shoot at Heriot-Watt University, Our Dynamic Earth and National Museums of Scotland using a Canon 5D MKII and an HTC One S.
Perception, parts of the whole and a small moment in time and space rather than giving the viewer the obvious and whole puzzle in one piece. This is a close up micro view of one part of the athletes gym routine as she chalks up for some lifting. It gives you a sense of perception of this one moment in time.

Young people from the North Down Alternatives START programme site took part in a research workshop with Faith Gordon from Queens and Sharon Whittaker from Include Youth exploring media, rights and perceptions.
Actually took some time today to try and design a ring rather than just rushing to get one made.

Human tend to perceive things schematically which leads to judging. Our biased visual perception may at times lead to the wrong attribution. The above image shows us a photo which is flipped horizontally and with a toy in the middle. Only colors differentiate them but how does the human eyes perceive it? At the end of the day, it is still the same image n the same toy.
(And somehow my graphics settings magically changed themselves, so I apologize for the lower quality of this photo.)
