I've been working from the Television to draw portraits of people, usually in the act of speaking.
Sometimes I pause it, other times I simply slow it down to quarter speed.

OUTDOOR ARTISTS 2013 Series
Paul Ondrejcek, my grandfather, did these drawings in what I believe was the early 1950's. I remember seeing them a few times over the years. While cleaning out my mother's attic this past spring I came upon them once again and decided that people should see them. I asked my aunt and uncle (his brother and sister) if they knew anything about them such as when they were drawn, etc. and to my surprise they did not even know he had any artistic talent. Seeing his drawings in this gallery was the first time they had ever seen them! In the early 1950's or very late 1940's, my grandfather, under the name Paul Ondre, also cut a handful of records that recieved airplay and media attention. He sang in many clubs as well as on cruise ships. His style was similar to old Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. Below is a photo of some of those records.

(1990) This is a pencil drawing of an upper torso of an alien insectoid robot. Somewhat abstract, I think my thirteen years old self already mastered the art of drawing lines mindlessly.

Lately feathering has been alot of fun. I went through a phase where I hated feathering or just couldn't pull the lines very well. The feathering was done by pulling the brush towards me. By doing so you have more control over the line.
Ich bin nicht selbstverliebt, aber es ist unheimlich spannend, wie man sich selbst jedes mal anders sieht ;)
