my most favorite artist everrrrr!!!
and he's sooo nice! :)
I absolutely adore his work.
and the other day, just by random/surprise
he emailed me this.
I almost didn't want to post it
because it is just so special to me
and I know he doesn't commission work or anything
I'd hate for people to start emailing him
and asking him to draw them or whatever
[so don't do that!]
but people keep asking me about it
so i thought i would share.
he's amazing

This is the mate to a sketch titled “The Hill” that I posted a few weeks back. I decided to keep the paper’s warm color on this one. This image is cropped from an 8 x 6 inch Strathmore Drawing pad. The signs are my rather pitiful attempt to draw Glencairn whiskey glasses from memory.
Done after my first trips to Rome and Florence.
One of only two efforts from my High School days that survived and that my good mum decided to spend some money on, against someone else's opinion, and get framed.
50 years later:
I am picking up drawing again - and it is a bit of a struggle. My hands don't seem to want to do what my eyes are seeing :)
