As much as I love taking photos, I also love and enjoy creating artworks using a variety of mediums from charcoal to oil paints, typically using my own photographs as the subject matter. This photo is a random model image, probably for a shampoo ad.... hope you enjoy!

More portrait practice in pencil :) I drew it on A3 paper and used 2B pencil only.

Graphite on paper. Aquatint project.

'Nickel Plate Road 765' steam locomotive built for high speed transit between Chicago and New York, commonly referred to as the Nickle plate road. This weird name attributes to the high cost of railroad construction which drew the ire of the print media referring it as 'double track nickle plated railroad'. It remained in service from 1944 to 1958 reaching a top speed of 130kmph. One can see and admire this beast performing excursion services somewhere in and around Chicago drawing over 3000 passengers/onlookers per day and is referred to as "engine that still can" and "crowd favorite ".

Recreated in A3 with charcoal...something that this beast consumed in huge quantities in its hay day!
