A pleasant surprise on my walk this afternoon. I saw some reeds moving and stopped. Stood around waiting thinking it was most likely a wren but then i saw him peering through watching me :-) Only got this one shot as he quickly disappeared back into the thick :-)

Well that is what if feels like after a few days of Christmas celebrations. I seem to have lost all track of time. We were up in London yesterday at the Bridge Theatre seeing Jim Broadbent in a play. I can never get over the amount of tourists there, not matter what time of year you go, and yesterday was no different. We had to 'fight' our way along from London Bridge to Tower Bridge. Completely exhausted by the time we got home.

Now that things are relatively back to normal I will be able to catch up with you all.

Another bird variety from the Tomnafinnoge Wood visit. I looked up into the trees and here I saw a pair of eyes looking down from on high. He stayed like that even when I was moving my camera to my face and I was able to get a shot in. A cute and curious male Siskin.

Native Bee (Megachile semiluctuosa) I had a quick look at the opening of the Megachile Bee's home yesterday. I spotted the Bee, at first seeming to be 'reaming out' the hole to make it bigger. Then it popped its head out a couple of times.
