"You don't want to play games on your phone" said Britt.
"We have some better games for you " laughed River.

Common Gum Tree Shield Bug (Poecilometis patruelis)
Peering out from the Jade plant.
Posting early today as I will be out for most of the afternoon.
I've taken most of my capture of Steetley Pier from the confines of the beach. This one is a little different as it captures the pier from above, looking straight along the top platform. Hence the play on words for the title.
At an earlier point this top area was accessible and was used by many local anglers.
Due to the deterioration of the pier, a section was removed, which now prevents access.
The setting sun casts a nice pink glow across the sky and the Long Exposure blends the clouds nicely.
Please take a minute to press L and view in large!
Due to time constraints, I am no longer posting in award groups...however I welcome (and love) your comments and favs.

A pleasant surprise on my walk this afternoon. I saw some reeds moving and stopped. Stood around waiting thinking it was most likely a wren but then i saw him peering through watching me :-) Only got this one shot as he quickly disappeared back into the thick :-)

Buchanan Street is the second busiest pedestrian shopping street in the UK, second only to Oxford Street in London, and is home to flagship stores of top fashion brands replete with stunning displays and security guards. It always captures my attention that you can peer down this grotty alleyway as you walk between those flagship stores. It reminds me of the false front architecture of old Wild West towns.
Wishing you all a fabulous weekend my Flickr friends.
Stay safe and keep the shutters clicking.
Eastern Great Egret (Ardea modesta)
Showing breeding plumage and colouring. Working the shadows at Altona Beach.
Well that is what if feels like after a few days of Christmas celebrations. I seem to have lost all track of time. We were up in London yesterday at the Bridge Theatre seeing Jim Broadbent in a play. I can never get over the amount of tourists there, not matter what time of year you go, and yesterday was no different. We had to 'fight' our way along from London Bridge to Tower Bridge. Completely exhausted by the time we got home.
Now that things are relatively back to normal I will be able to catch up with you all.
