November's birthstones are the topaz (particularly, yellow) and the citrine.
Its birth flower is the chrysanthemum.
The Zodiac signs for those born in this month are Scorpio and Sagittarius.
I got this pear shape citrine from a very good friend of mine. The color of this stone is amazing ! It has two tone yellow -brown colors and it is well cut and I couldn't find any inclusion in it.
The citrine weight 19.50 Ct. and measures 18.18mm x 13.17mm.
I felt that the stone doesn't need more than a clean setting, and that's what I did. It hangs on 42cm flat cable chain.
Spectrolite is an uncommon variety of labradorite feldspar.

It's a long story but when we were trying to adopt Tina it was an excruciating waiting game that included lost paperwork, waiting (and waiting and waiting), and her almost being adopted out to someone else accidentally. When it seemed like it was never going to happen I went to the shelter where Idaho was.
Tina and Idaho are hilarious together because she has remained tiny, with a kittenlike face. Idaho is long-limbed and pearshaped and tall. They are like Mutt & Jeff when you see them together. Each has a few of Thomas's traits, so I say that it took two to "replace" Thomas. I'm so pleased that they love each other, and the other youngster (Otis) has someone to play with, too.

"Its all gone pear shaped" as a turn of phrase apparently dates from the Royal Air Force of the 1940s with new recruits trying to do manoeuvres that become distorted rather than round "pear shaped".

Sipping Cherry with a Mysterious Brunette Smoky Quartz Large Cocktail Ring

...On the veranda, in the moisture laden air, a mysterious brunette takes a sip of cherry while looking up at the summer moon. Just as she lifts her glass to her lips the moonbeams dance off of the table of her massive ring....
This incredible one of a kind sterling silver cocktail ring has a massive pear shaped smoky quartz (approx. 18 mm high) and 4 beautiful rhodolite garnets. It is all wire wrapped with 18 gauge sterling silver wire. The swirls in the front of the band make rosettes around the garnets. It is prong set with each prong being made of wire and secured by 22 gauge sterling wire wrapped around the base of the ring.
Fit a size 7-7 1/2
The few inches difference in width makes (in my opinion) a big difference in appearance. The New Look makes me appear to just get wider and wider as you go down.
It was very quiet when I went to sit out in my garden this morning as a male Sparrowhawk had made a visit a few moments before. It didn't catch it's intended meal but sat for a few seconds on my potted Pear Tree before flying off. When I went out this male Chaffinch slowly descended from the Sycamore Tree looking very nervous incase it should return. I reassured him that I would keep watch if he wanted to come down and feed...and he did just that : )

Another Pedersen Patent, dating from 1902, GB190218095.
The cover of the gearcase is missing, so the works are exposed. Owing to its characteristic feature of a countershaft running parallel to the axle, the hub itself is a curiously lopsided affair, which seems odd for something intended to rotate.
Opinion seems to differ on whether this is a genuine epicyclic gear (as most hub gears are). Some see it as a special variant with a second sun gear... proof perhaps that Pedersen was not just from another planet, but another solar system entirely?
It was originally manufactured with pear-shaped flanges, requiring a great range of spoke lengths per wheel. Mine appears to be circular on one side and pearshaped on the other, though it is surprisingly difficult to tell at a casual glance.
Hessonite garnet is a specific grossularite form of garnet most known for a warm, yellow to reddish tone.
