I'm usually surrounded by people, it's wonderful, but I also enjoy being alone. For me, being alone means having my own time, which I can use unhurriedly and do the things I love. Photography is one of those things.
We had come to Finnish Lapland after Norway and it was the second night when the sun went down after long nightless night period. I stand on the slopes of the Pallas fells and enjoy the play of colors. By the way, the Pallas fells have the cleanest air in the world, according to research. Maybe that's why I want to come to these fells every year and hope that they keep me young when I get to breathe their clean air and climb their slopes.

Yesterday I looked longingly at the geese flying in the sky, they were on their way south. September was record warm and rainy and now that October has arrived, the cold has also arrived. My mind is conflicted, on the one hand I miss the light and colors of summer, on the other hand the darkening days bring the desire to wrap myself in a blanket to read a book or watch movies. It's so homely and comfortable. There will be cold days, colorful leaves that will gradually fall away and the landscape will fade. There will be ice, frost and first snow. The natural cycle of my world.

Yellow, a lovely color in nature, but unfortunately it's not one of my favorite colors like turquoise, blue and green. Yellow, red and orange don't reach my heart. However, because of the autumn colors, I'm starting the yellow serie 💛 This so so yellow sunset is the first and the following ones tell about the splendor of autumn colors as seen through my eyes and feelings.

There are some times many burdens before us. The peace we need to seek can most always be something we passed by and did not care to see.
It had been raining for almost three days. I was quite frustrated not having any chances to take a decent shot. After all you can't visit Agio Oros every day and when you manage to do so you're not allowed to stay more than three nights.
Quite unexpectedly, on the second day the rain temporarily ceased and pockets of clear sky, combined with puffy but still menacing clouds, appeared.
I dared a rush upon the Skete trying to ''shoot'' as many frames as I could. I did, yet the most thrilling part was the unexpected encounter with a 92 year old monk, who was labouring his steps on the steep ground trying to reach his home. What he told me filled my eyes with tears...

It's a beautiful summer day, I'm walking with a backpack on my back, there are snacks and my camera, along a green lush valley. I gradually climb up the slope along the path and I can see both the peaks of the mountains and the amazingly beautiful whole formed by the green valley. I sit on the mountainside and breathe deeply and feel a sense of both peace and happiness filling my heart and mind💙

I'm on Senja, an island with a mystical atmosphere. There were still weeks when the sun did not set at all and its light was velvety soft and gentle. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to photograph in every place I wanted to. But there is something about the essence of the island in this photo, the almost stagnant atmosphere, the humid sea air, the dreamy tones and even though it was a busy tourist season, there were only a few inhabitants of the small fishing village. And they paid no attention to us tourists, washed their cars, fed their dogs and lived their own lives on this island of natural treasures.
But I lived this moment to the fullest, all my senses open to receive everything that the moment gave me. And it gave me a meditative experience that I can still go back to now, I turn my attention to my experience and feel the same atmosphere and peace as I did standing here on the mountainside.

Winter here where I live, in southern Finland, is in a difficult phase. On weekdays it is either freezing and snowing or warm and raining. For walking in nature, it means frozen, slippery paths and country roads.
A year ago I fell on the ice and broke my wrist, it took a long time to recover. Winter has lasted so long and I don't like it at all anymore.
My heart is waiting for spring and birds singing. I look back to last summer and I've gone through my photo archives, which this next (long) series consists of.
In this photo, I'm standing high on a fell, many sweaty steps behind me, I'm above the clouds and when I swing my camera, the clouds start moving. Below you can see tee lake Kilpisjärvi and the Malla Nature Park in Finnish Lapland. / Summer memory serie 1.

At first they were reflections on the surface of the river, I looked at them, falling in love with their harmonious colors. Then I photographed them, cropped a small part of the photo and softened the shapes and colors of the leaves in post-processing / Yellow 3.

I'm standing by the sea, with the freezing cold wind pinching my cheeks. As far as my eyes can see, I see ice and free-flowing sea water glistening in the sun. The wind has piled snow on the surface of the ice. A light flickers on the horizon.

👱♀️🎧 Calling Dreams ( Forest Elves )
Almost four weeks on holiday and traveling in Finnish Lapland and Norway. The trip is full of incredible experiences and more beautiful scenery than the other. My mind is grateful for everything I've seen and the strength they've given me. Memory cards full of photos, I wonder how I will begin to unpack this experience. Everyday things and new problems were waiting at home, but my mind is still in a calm state.
The story must begin with a dreamlike experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. Traveling for a week and in Norway for the second or third day, we are on our way to an island called Senja. The camper goes up to a high mountain, the roads are very narrow and have a lot of traffic. Exactly the kind of roads along which convertibles are forced to drive hard. My driver is getting nervous, the camper isn't made for these roads. I look out at the landscape, where the sea and the sky open up in dreamlike, wonderful colors even though it's only late afternoon. I ask my driver to stop as soon as possible so I can photograph this dream. After a while, it can be done with a small spread on the edge of a narrow road.

The soft embrace of a nightless night. It's past eleven at night and the sun is awake, just like me. We smile at each other, I don't want to go to sleep yet, it was a long day and I want to continue it here in the arms of the sun.

My first full-day hiking trip in Norway, in the mountain scenery of Olderdalen. Sweaty climbs up the slope, sweet green fell birch trees, low hanging clouds, snowy peaks, happily gurgling mountain streams and such blue skies. Snacks, water, my camera, a change of clothes and a hammock in my backpack adding to the weight of my steps. It was a wonderful day.

Pentax K1000 - Ektar 100 - St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands - Maho Bay - Great snorkeling here. We swam with several big turtles. Also saw lots of stingrays and other fish.
Yyteri, one of the most beautiful and popular sandy beaches in Finland. In the summer, on my way to Lapland and Norway, I visited there briefly. Now with a few days off, I wanted to get to know the beach better. On a sunny day in summer, the beach was full of people sunbathing, swimming and picnicking. Now late autumn, the beach was almost deserted, a few people walking with their dog and one taking photos. However, the sandy beach was beautiful and the view of the sea was wonderful. I stayed there for hours until dark.
