My soul sister blue anemones, they played in the light with me and I was able to photograph them nicely, almost all 50 photos were successful. I tried the same thing with white anemones, they didn't light up for me at all. No photos were successful. What can I think about this? Only that the blue anemones are my sisters 💙💙 Here in Alice`s Wonderland.

Blue anemones are the first wildflowers to bloom in our Finnish nature and forests. At first I went to photograph these anemones the night before, in the dark light of the forest, their flowers had sunk down, and then again the next day in the sunshine, when they were dancing with their faces reaching for the light. They seemed to float by the power of the light. Just like me, new spring and brand new photos, with my new changed wrist. The new door is open and I go through it.
I walk among the reeds, some of them are taller than me. They sway in the wind and hiss with contentment. I gently touch their stems, they are both strong and fragile. Just like you and me. Nothing more, nothing less….

I am an optimist, although in my life, like so many others, there have been dark moments and long periods when hope has been just a small star in a black sky. But that star has given light and led forward. Therefore, as soon as possible, I like to look at colors. Even though through rose colored lenses 😍 In this photo, the colors are real, no edited colors or filters. And everything looks pink. Suits me. Only Mother Nature's creativity and imagination can come up with such wonderful colors for the sky and as reflections on the surface of the water.

I'm still going through my photo archives and waiting to finally be able to take photos again. The journey for my wrist to be able to function has been almost too long. I look forward to my trips to the seaside, to the smell of salt water. We have a saying in Finland: the forest is my church. Seashores are also places of great experience for me. Palaces, churches... places to return to again and again, just because I want and need that experience.

Here in the north, we now have a season where both spring and summer alternate. It's been summer for the last few days, so warm, so beautiful. The colors of nature are gentle and soft. And when I look at the surface of the lake, another world opens up.

The path runs in the middle of a snowy swamp forest, there are my footsteps and my dog's pawsteps. Often when it snows a lot, the trails get closed and people are always needed to open them again and again. In really snowy winters, deer and foxes also walk along man-made paths. Our common nature, our common paths.

Between our four seasons are transitional periods, which are often a farewell to the old and monitoring the phenomenal birth of the new season. Now is the time between winter and spring when it can still snow a lot and on the other hand the old snow melts when new snow falls on top of it. The air is humid and foggy. The view from the river at the beginning of December when winter arrived, in these weeks at the end of March, is the same. I would photograph it again if possible. Fog, soft colors, something is clearly visible and something is completely blurry. Just the way I like it.

On the same day, after I had photographed the pink sky ( previous photo ), I turned to go home and noticed this landscape behind my back. The blue moment quickly descended over the trees and snow, it also wrapped itself around me like a considerate lover. I wanted to capture this moment too. I also love the color blue, turquoise and green. It was an incredible feeling, I had just looked at the pink sky and now there was this in front of me. Swamp, trees and a clean snowy landscape, just a few steps in the snow. Probably a big dog or deer, I've seen foxes and moose here too. A bear and a few wolves have also been seen here, they do not belong to this nature but had wandered here from further away. This place is only a 15 minute walk from my home.

Even though I live in the middle of forests and lakes, I often go to the seashore, even if the nearest sea is more than 100 km from my home. I want to listen to the noise of the waves, relax in their monotonous rhythm and breathe in my lungs full of sea air. In rain, wind, storm and sunshine. As does my doggie Helmi.

This view is to the north, the sun just rising from the east and sending its gentle rays and kisses to the trunks of the trees to my delight and making the whole landscape shine in stunning color. My wonderful morning, I enjoy the silence and my beautiful world. And I can't take my eyes off it. Finland. ICM.
The dream of spring and the soon-to-begin summer has come true. Just as surprisingly, nature is bursting into full greenery and flowers. Oh wonderful life, this is what I love 💚 In Finland, in the evening, in May.
Spring started today. The snow and ice melt in a race, the dead earth is revealed beneath them, which comes to life without delay as the sun warms its lifeless surface. Flowers, grasses, ants and ladybugs wake up, birds sing tender love songs and I put sunglasses on my eyes, drink my morning coffee outside in my watchtower, enjoy the miracle happen and smile.

Summer. It's going to be a very hot day, I and my doggie Helmi are walking slowly and enjoying the freshness of the early morning and the rays of the sun. The incredibly beautiful light accompanies us throughout our journey. I feel the joy of being here right now rise up and fill me.

Eastern blue lilies, also known as scillas, look like tiny bells in the evening when they go to sleep. Finland, on a cool evening.
In front is a lake, the surface of it is frozen and you can already walk on it, behind a forest and sky, between them a pale orange sunset on a December afternoon. There are six small lines in the middle too, they are three men fishing on ice. 👱♀️🎧🎶 Baby, It’s Cold Outside ( Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong ).

It had been windy again all day and it was sunset time at sea. Dark clouds gathered in the sky and it started to rain heavily. The rain drenched me, my camera and my faithful dog. Fortunately, it stopped for a while, so I was able to photograph the stormy sea and white-headed waves as the sun set behind dark clouds. The rain started again and the thunder rumbled. I'm afraid of lightning. Helmi is sitting next to me completely soaked. Ok let's go, I told her. We ran to the camper and the sweet heat gradually dried us both out.

A blue moment on a cold day, on the edge of a swamp. The trees are small but strong, they grow crooked but still grow upwards, each in its own way. Finland.

We have had very variable winter weather. Every other week there is a blizzard and freezing temperatures, then the weather warms up and it rains. Here is an ice lantern ( same as in the photo Frozen stars ) that I made during the severe frosts, it has melted and re-frozen many times. When it melted, the stars disappeared from its surface, but the ice gained new decorations. The tulips I have frozen in the ice shine bright red.
I am also now trapped myself, not in hard ice but in plaster. I fell on the damn slippery lake ice over a week ago and broke my wrist. Luckily I have two hands but my sadness I won't be able to photograph for many weeks.

A two-week holiday in Finnish Lapland is always a miracle for me. Welcome with me, I'll show you some moments from my hike there. This photo was taken on the way to Malla Luonnonpuisto, Kilpisjärvi. Located in the far north of Finland.

Ordinary day. The end of December afternoon, the blue moment is approaching. It takes a few minutes and then the darkness begins. Now today, at the end of January, a month later than in this ICMphoto, the day is already two hours longer and the brightness is increasing all the time. Light. Light. Light.
Very often, an ordinary day is a perfect day. Light, joy. For you too. Finland. ICM.

On a snowy afternoon. Finland. ICM.
Along the beautiful Hardangerfjord, it is impossible not to be fascinated by the magnificent nature in the area.
The color of the water is a combination of meltwater from the glaciers, as well as the color of a special and harmless algae bloom.

Well, well, it seems that spring in Finland has been canceled, a new huge snowstorm is approaching me. I'm fine ( I'll light the fireplace, start a new book and sip red wine ), but what about the birds? The forest is full of their joyful singing and I think their biological clock is ticking to start a family.

Only hays. Long beautiful hays swing slowly in the wind, they grow by the sea on the cost by Hanko. Hanko is the southernmost city in Finland and the sun almost always shines there. The slowly swaying hay calms my mind and heart. 👱♀️🎧🎶Heart of Glass ( Blondie ) ICM, Finland, Hanko.
This forest isn’t the most beautiful forest at all ( I love more very old hobbits-styled forests which we have here a lot) but in this forest is always a beautiful light so I think some kind of good spirit must live in here or at least it/she/he sends a lot of good thoughts there. This ICM photo was taken from the same place in the forest as the previous photo. This ICM version shows nicely why I like it so much as a technique. The green moss stripe from the previous photo started coloring the ICM photo when I moved my camera. Now green is between all tree trunks and not just as a thin stripe on the ground. So simple. This river floods and flows towards a large rapids. Together they roar with tremendous force. There are only few colors in nature in early spring in Finland, so the color of the water is dazzling.
So quiet, so warm, bright and wonderful. I'm like a shrunken little Alice in Wonderland.
