This is Mike the Rabbit, named for a character in a story I wrote for a class my senior year in college. I bought him at Cox's, a small grocery store adjacent to the college. His head can rotate for posing; yes, that means that one can pretend he's possessed by Pazuzu.

A could of darkness erupts around the draegloth. Kerrick calls upon Pazuzu to grant him the power to see in the dark, so he can keep attacking the high priestess.

Nimue unleashes magnetic lightining, surrounding herself with a sphere of deadly electricity. Just what you need, when there are undead minions nearby. They will collapse as soon as it is their turn.

This one is a little more effective from the right perspective, where the Pazuzu image replaces Regan's face (it turns on and off), but this lets you see both, so, eh, I'm fine with it.

In order to regain her soul, she calls upon none other than Pazuzu, the "gatekeeper" to the abyss. Through Pazuzu she learns, that the one she believes to be Shraevyn (so, we're back in the past, where Shraevyn is still alive. The scenes before took place at a later stage in history, because there the Mantled King was controlling the fate of the Dalelands) literally isn't himself anymore. With Pazuzu's help she can oppose him, and thus gain posession of the blade. Or so Pazuzu promises.

Through Pazuzu Hedistrin learns, that the creature she believed to be Shraevyn has captured her soul in the blade, because he needs her psionic power to control the blade. To sever her ties to the blade and be free again, she needs to travel to the 230th layer of the abyss. Maybe that's how Hedistrin became Gothyl.

Hedistrin strikes a pact with Pazuzu to free herself.

Even before we enter the upper story of Multimer's mansion, all of the heroes can feel it: Something is very wrong here. Kerrick feels the presence of demonic powers, Thana simply knows somewhere above, a devil awaits. Shiel feels the presence of an evil sword, and Nimue senses the presence of The Devourer. One of his agents surely is here.

When the group advances up the stairs, all they find are dead Kenku, stuffed, prepared to look as lifelike, yet clearly dead, on display like the game of a great hunt.

Thana tries to stay out of trouble and examine the displayed Kenku, tries to find out if they are somehow marked, any hint if Pazuzu or some power connecting everything together is at work here.

What do I deserve?

We were two of a kind.

You can't help but feel emotionless.

When you're the one standing,

Watching from the outside.

I never had to care.

I never had to worry.

But I never stopped to think...

I never stop thinking,

She knows so much.

I wish I could scoop up the ones I love,

And place them far away.

Certain songs ring aloud,

Make your mind wonder about better times.

Everyone come to one.

Everyone wants what no one gets.

And that's why they don't.

They want more.

That's why the world may come to an end.

I will be the one sitting at the edge of the rock.

Waiting to be invited in
