Candid eye contact street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Enjoy!
Another for the week of "saves" from the trash can is this crew change at Megantic, Quebec with Canadian Pacific "big" 4720. A real dark station and muddy track and trucks made this a candidate for the test of the shadow bar with pleasing results.

June 2021, Megève seems to be on a break before the summer season.
Not quite deserted, just surveyed by some tourists and locals.
Black and white accentuates this impression of emptiness while focusing attention on details of the city.
Don't forget to thank the horses that made your life hell. Without them you wouldn't be as good a rider as you are today.
Pause for reflection - A wonderfully calm and serene spring day dawns at Blea Tarn; time to take in the peace and quiet of this incredibly beautiful and tranquil Lake District location and to pause for reflection over the trials and tribulations of the previous year.
Blea Tarn is a favourite haunt of mine, especially so at first light when the early sunlight hits the Langdale Pikes, framed by the natural amphitheatre around the tarn and perfectly reflected in the mirror like surface of the still water. A place to rejuvenate the mind.

January 27th is the anniversary of the freeing of the Auschwitz prisoners seventy years ago..
Doesn't seem that long ago, does it ?
This was taken last November, but is today's response to the comment left on yesterday's post by Anselmo Sousa
I like this pic because she is out of focus.
Reminds me of how life, the world, we and everything in it can get that way too.
Freedom. Is there anything else so important..
SOOC..

Mumbai (Inde) - Les Dhobi-Wallahs travaillent dur.

Mumbai (India) - The hard-working Dhobi-Wallahs. Some may be present in this giant open-air laundry for more than 16 hours a day. As they are organized in a cooperative, they know why and especially for whom they work. The hours spent working are therefore not experienced as a chore.
The organization of work allows them to take days off. But during the service, they also take breaks between two rounds of laundry.
