I received a lovely Japanese pattern book from a sweet friend over Christmas, and this is the first pattern I"ve used from the book. The grey fabric is from a linen thrifted skirt, and the print fabric is a long-hoarded stash fabric. The photo doesn't clearly show, but there are on-seam pockets where the grey and printed fabric meet (kind've like the O & S Book Report dress). Size 120 for my recently-turned 7 yr old.

Another ripple baby blanket made especially for Project Spectrum & Ripple Along to be given to Stitches from the Heart.

Pattern:Susan B's Easy Ripple Afghan and Random Stripe Generator.

Yarn: Worsted weight acrylic scraps (mostly Red Heart and Caron)

Hook Size: I (makes these yarns much softer)

Blogged as part of Paper Bicycle's Daily Pattern project.

I'm always on the lookout for repeating patterns.

Our second day in this area started with rain which did not stop all morning. In spite of attempting to see butterflies not a single one was seen and we returned to the hotel for lunch. After lunch the rain stopped (though there were only limited periods with no rain) and we visited the bamboo forest which was part of the tiger reserve. Initially we had to wait around to be signed in and get rangers to accompany us.

An unidentified moth seen while waiting.

I crawled under this indoor plant to discover some decorative patterns (and make others think I'm rather odd...)

Found this lone pattern on Ebay. Did not get it..went up to 100 dollars so I dropped out. Cleaned it up and made it useful for embroidery!
