I once studied these fence elements for a small period of time, and found out they have many different compatibilities. For one, on the sides of each they can attach 2 studs (how I made this pattern), and you can actually fit pole pieces inside of each (see here). Since I used this amount of fence pieces it's slightly fragile, but I could easily reduce the quantity of those elements I used.

My daughter has been drawing cat faces all over the place. It's her new favorite doodle. She drew one recently in chalk on a slate stone in our yard and I loved the effect. So that's what I was going for with this simple line drawing. I stitched it in a pale (chalky) color on a dark background and with a slightly thicker thread than I usually use.
This is a great pattern for beginners. You only need one stitch and there's nothing too fussy or detailed about it. It would be cute on a tote bag or T-shirt - or a towel. It also fits perfectly into a 7" hoop.

It is very difficult to photograph yourself knitting under the best circumstances which weren't prevailing at the time.
Pen and sepia ink with colour added in Photoshop.
There are not many shots i take and i feel proud. This is one of my top 10 from the pictures that i have taken so far. Maybe in top 5.
