January is my favorite month.

New Years is my favorite holiday.

this is so January----

the end seems so far away but really-

if you blink you might miss the whole year

gathered running stitch in a wave pattern, paperclips

my weekend score- a big box of vintage patterns for $1 at the flea market.

It is very difficult to photograph yourself knitting under the best circumstances which weren't prevailing at the time.

 

Pen and sepia ink with colour added in Photoshop.

Thanks to Kellie (74LimeLane) I realized that I had patterns right here around the house! This plate alone has 3 different patterns on it. I figured one of them had to be photogenic.

It is interesting how you can find patterns in most of the everyday objects, in this case I found a pattern on my curtain. It is possible to see a linear pattern made by each part of the curtain. The sunset on the back creates shadows that helps to identify each element. The repetition of these similar elements creates a rhythm and unify the curtain as being one object.
