pattern/random pattern - is random pattern an oxymoron?

A picture from the thematic selection, called 'Water', I made for this year's exhibition at Docman's Gaga/Garage Gallery. It opened March 19th with me participating in the 14th 'Tweekarspelen Kunstroute', an arts route in the area of 12 quite diverse artists.

The moss growing between the cobbles seemed to accentuate the pattern. And, it worked in black and white too.

Based on late 17th century French pattern design, discovered in Provence region - hence the name. I've developed the steps to reproduce it. Enjoy :)

I know, this has been done before. And better too. For the real stuff, take a look at Michael Wolf’s Architecture of Density series.

I like this photo because everybody wants to be Michael Wolf for a day.

The pattern is blogged here. If you make one, please please tag it #patchworkdeathstar. I'd love to see it.

I forgot about this one!

Pattern will be published in an upcoming book by Stash Books!
