A shot from last spring, when the fresh greens were peaking and the bluebells were blooming. Taken at a lovely enchanted little forest in the Netherlands.

'Lost Leica' series - part three

Understand, I’ll slip quietly

away from the noisy crowd

when I see the pale

stars rising, blooming, over the oaks.

I’ll pursue solitary pathways

through the pale twilit meadows,

with only this one dream:

You come too.

I put up a new blog post this weekend

I genuinely cannot believe it is July already?! I've got a lot of fun things planned for the next few weeks, but also lots of free time to explore the countryside around me!

Polesden Lacey is a very popular National Trust site, the house is so rich in history and the gardens are stunning!

I went to see the cherry blossom at Hakone Gardens, a Japanese garden in Saratoga, California. The garden was open at night for a short period of time, a rare opportunity. This is the stone garden at the lower house.

I processed a paintery, a balanced, and a photographic HDR photo from three RAW exposures, merged them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive feedback.

Thank you for visiting - ♡ with gratitude! Fave if you like it, add comments below, like the Facebook page, order beautiful HDR prints at qualityHDR.com.

Thank you everyone for your on going support!

Somewhat interesting here is that I used a 300/2.8 + a 2x converter for this image. That is using 600mm for this shot

Sunday morning beach walk a crispy cool 5C with a few frozen puddles along the way, not a soul on the beach as the seasonal population has closed down for the winter.

I don't take a ton of sunset photos, but i am glad i did this one. Brilliant late-sunset colors combined with no wind turned Delaney Lake into a perfect mirror.

From earlier this week, we were hoping for some auroras but didn't quite get the show we were hoping for. But we had great fun capturing the Milky Way, here seen over Steigtind. A pathway which leads to the rear of Rufford Hall .

One of the many pathways winding along the neighborhoods in The Woodlands. They are purposely designed so cannot see what is ahead. Although it looks like you are far from anything, there is a street about 10 feet to the left of the frame. Over the years I have run and walked countless miles on these paths.

Some additional photos from the 3rd week of the year.

"Look back at our struggle for freedom,

Trace our present day's strength to it's source;

And you'll find that man's pathway to glory

Is strewn with the bones of the horse."

Blaise Estate in March

Right next to the famous road, The Atlantic road" there is a pathway going around the small island which the Atlantic road crosses.

We live on the best part of our housing estate and this path leads to our homes. It's a genuine joy to walk down whatever the time of year.

This pathway leads to the estuary at Talsarnau with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside etc

This morning was a cold start out at Knowlton Church in Dorset - The Norman church, which was built in the 12th century, is situated at the centre of a Neolithic ritual henge earthwork.... a really eerie feel to this place - The most haunted place in Dorset!
