I've photographed the shoreline in this area for years and somehow I had never stumbled across these odd stairs. I actually found these the night before and spent some time working on different compositions, thinking this would be a really cool place to shoot during a good sunrise.
While I didn't quite get the sunrise conditions I had envisioned, I still got some really nice light. After shooting in the morning I've decided that this may actually be a better sunset/dusk location. I'll have to find out the next time I'm there!
Kerlingafjöll has a mysterious atmosphere - especially when there is nobody else around. The hikers at the bridge were the only ones to creep around the valleys so late and after a while even they disappeared. Where to? I don't know...

"Magnifique rendu de ce chemin boueux, les flaques reflètent les ramures hivernales, c'est très beau et très graphique, ça donne envie de chausser les bottes " (René CARRERE / www.flickr.com/photos/143018951@N07/)

Sunnyside Cemetery in Long Beach, CA. I have a "composite/art" signature on here but from looking at the RAW files it doesn't look like I did anything special besides the standard HDR processing of three exposures. Perhaps a couple of filters in Photoshop.
A lovely cooling pathway I recently discovered at Mt. Coot-tha Botanic Gardens. Out of the sunshine and into the shade.
