Wrought iron and brick fence encircling the Edwin Johnson Homestead site just outside Maybell, Moffat County, Colorado.
Edwin C. Johnson served thirty four continuous years in public service to Colorado; Moffat and Routt County Legislator, Lt. Governor, three times elected Governor, and eighteen years as a United States Senator.
Ferne and Edwin Johnson erected this fence to preserve what was left of the home they built in 1910. This site is dedicated to all of the early homesteaders who helped settle Colorado.
Down Long Reef Headland and to the moon!
I went to Long Reef to watch the Lunar Eclipse unfold. Things were looking good early, but we were ultimately foiled by cloud which rolled in from the South.

Another view of the churchyard and the gravestones of Leatherhead Parish Church . I just liked tree's branch hanging over the path making a bit of a frame .
The graves here range from many years back to some fairly recent . And to think , as a kid I used to play here and in the coffin store of the undertakers !!
Thought we could do with a shot showing a sunny day considering we have had to put up with all the winter storms, so a little something from my archive. March is a good time to photograph at the Fairy Pools, the light is starting to improve and there are fewer tripods competing for space.
