The Spiritual Pathway project at Clifton Parish Church in York has finally come to fruition. It was officially opened and dedicated by Archbishop Sentamu on the evening of Friday 23rd September.

Concieved and designed by my good friend Helen Bower and made by a whole team of willing parishoners (along with individuals from further afield)she mobilised with help from organiser Lorna Siddons for a series of weekend classes held over several summers.

The new mosaic pathway connects the church to the street with a sequence of mosaic tiles, spelling out a quote from Isaiah 40:31 "Those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles", chosen to inspire the onlooker and to draw them toward the church.

After the storm, and heading to March!

Pathway crossing with Gatineau River bridge in background. The approaches on the path to this crossing is quite steep and this area will have a weird transition area to allow buses and trains to use the bridge in a single lane configuration, so I wonder if an underpass for the path will be installed here.

it's so hard to imagine what mum is going through as the pathways in her brain rewire themselves. One can only imagine the circuitous patterns they're weaving looking for ways to bypass the parts that were damaged.

I took this in Filoli Gardens on the San Francisco Peninsula. I took 3 shots hand held at -2, 0 and 2 then pieced them together using photomatix. Thanks!

This is a state park that my aunt and uncle walk through. My granny, uncle, and I went for a stroll.

Kukup's pathways are narrow but generally safe enough to walk upon.

I thought this is a unique feature of Kukup - modern pavements in concrete with rundown timber-plankings at "small lanes".
