the sketchbook challenge for june is Pathways and since i've been wandering down new ones with my iPad 2, digital art and sketching... this felt like the perfect choice!
Well it's been ages since I've posted anything, the trials of starting at Uni!
Well I took time out of my busy schedule to go out tonight and see what I could manage in the cold and wet and the two shots I posted tonight are the result.
What I wanted to get wasn't viable but I won't ruin the surprise for when I do get it so for now let me know what you think of these.
I like pathways. Everything in this city (as in most American cities,) is concrete and asphalt. Seeing paths and roads painstakingly crafted makes me feel like I'm somewhere else more than anything else in the garden.
These paths are made of pebbles laid down in a mosaic. It's very beautiful, and draws the senses to the texture under your feet. Since the pebbles are laid on edge, you can feel them through your shoes if you pay attention.
