I couldn't resist the purples 'n pinks... Made the scene look somewhat magical ;)

The path along this part is very stony, there's a good reason, the ground here can be very boggy..

Lovely encounter on a walk last weekend. The weather wasn't as nice as I had hoped and it was almost too dark for photos but luckily the squirrel sat on the path where the light was slightly better than under the trees of the forest.

I was in love with this scene, but had a hard time photographing it. Sometimes you can really love a scene in person and think, this will be so much fun to photograph. Then you start looking through the camera, and things can change. You have to start paying attention to foregrounds, subjects, leading lines, the eyes path of travel and things like that. And it seems odd that the place can be so interesting as you are standing there, but the camera fights you.

I loved the pathway, so I tried to lean into that as a leading line. Then you walk that balance, too much? Too little? I knew I also wanted your eye to lead to the big Christmas tree on the right. I shot a bracket, a series of 5 different exposures, so I could play with blending the scene later. Once home, I used the different tones to also try to pull the viewer through the scene. Let me know what you think.

There are moments when nature decides to apply a special filter to reality. In this shot taken in Fuerteventura, the rainbow seems to trace an invisible path for those who experience the sea with slowness and wonder

In one of my recent walks I entered to small spruce grove via this path.

Walking in nature is always a success with children. The Barefoot Path makes walking in the woods even more fun. Follow the 2.5 km long trail that crisscross through Landgoed Lievensberg. With your bare feet you can feel the warm soft sand of the open plain or the moist sooty ground of the forest. You just wipe the mud between your toes on the soft moss. On the path with the small sharp stones you push your limits, while the tree trunk path appeals to your sense of balance. So shoes and socks off and enjoy! Because with the Barefoot Path you experience and feel Landgoed Lievensberg in a unique way.

A lone hiker walks on a nature preserve trail ahead of us. The trail was once a farm road, but now serves hikers and mountain bikers instead. The light from the setting sun lights up clouds in the east. A small jet contrail is visible in the upper left of the frame.

Decided to take a little road trip down to Sawley the other night to see what it had to offer - I've typically only photographed Sunrises & Sunsets there. It certainly didn't disappoint and gave me a great chance to road test the arrival of the correct wide angle lens for my new camera. I'm amazed at the detail this little Sony full frame and 16-35mm can capture - mirrorless is the future!

Follow where paths roam,

Adventure finds its home,

Even where it leads to none.

Built around many trees and plants this path named La Vallee within Parc de Bercy is simply breathtaking.
