I've just re-discovered this photo on my hard drive. This was taken a few months ago on my way up the Watkin path. The path is located in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales.

Thanks for looking and please feel free to check out some of my other work :)

This wooden pathway through the swamps of Skaneateles Conservation Area reminds me of some of the ancient roads through bogs in Europe - including the Corlea Trackway.

One has to wonder if one day archaeologists will stumble across this and wonder the purpose...

I might be making a mistake, but I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be the path to the Tjäktjatjåkka glacier. Like most glaciers we saw this past summer it's been extremely damaged by global warming.

This was the hike along the Stuor Reaiddavággi, connecting the Vistasvagge valley and the Tjäktjapasset mountain pass.

Surprised to see the leaves are changing colour. It is the middle of July and this change normally happens in September. A sign of the high temperatures we have had in June and July.

The Rocca Trail in Fortunago follows the path outside the walls and runs between the medieval houses of the village. The trail has a purely naturalistic character, developing along wooded and ridge trails.

Follow the stone path downhill towards the hidden pond and a space to relax under the pines.

Nothing beats summer in the North!

Best thing about traveling to Northern Norway, Sweden or Finland during summer months is the endless light. Why hike during daytime when everyone's out? Instead, I prefer head out after 9pm, enjoy golden light and quiet paths.

This picture was taken along beautiful Litlverivassforsen trail in mid-July 2024. Almost 15km of solutiude, with only few fellow hikers. And best of it all? We got to enjoy beautiful waterfall all by ourselves.

A look at Kohler-Andrae State Park from its signature sand dunes. The park sits along the shoreline of Lake Michigan near Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

This is one of the paths at Carr Mill.

As evening falls, a Buddhist monk ascends the steps of Wat Saket in Bangkok, Thailand. Sorry to mix Robert Plant and Paul McCartney lyrics but it would seem that, at least on this day, the Stairway to Heaven was The Long and Winding Road :) And we won't even talk about Nirvana :) Thanks for viewing! See you around the bend :)
