Good morning dear Gyp-sy and thank you for all your comments

Pat Cooper & Diane Dickens, Crown & Thistle, Whitchurch, Bucks. New Year 68/69.

PAT route #47D ran through some almost bucolic areas. This was the remnant of the Pittsburgh-Washington, PA interurban line, which was cut back to Drake in 1953.

The route was further cut back to a Castle Shannon-Drake shuttle in 1993 due to construction. The remainder of the route was abandoned in 1999.

Early in the morning,

Just as day is dawning,

He picks up all the post bags in his van.

All the birds are singing,

And the day is just beginning,

Pat feels he's a really happy man.

Patrick Daniel Tillman (November 6, 1976 – April 22, 2004) was an American football player who left his professional sports career with the Arizona Cardinals and enlisted in the United States Army in May 2002, along with his brother Kevin Tillman. Tillman was subsequently redeployed to Afghanistan. On April 22, 2004, he was killed by US forces while on patrol.

The Army initially claimed that Tillman and his unit were attacked in an apparent ambush on a road outside of the village of Sperah about 25 miles (40 km) southwest of Khost, near the Pakistan border. A more thorough investigation concluded that no hostile forces were involved in the firefight and that two allied groups fired on each other in confusion over an exploded mine or remote controlled bomb.

On July 26, 2007, AP received official documents stating that the investigating doctors performing the autopsy suspected that Tillman was deliberately murdered

The controversy surrounding the full details of his death has sparked many investigations. Tillman started his college career as a linebacker for Arizona State University in 1994, when he secured the last remaining scholarship for the team.

Pat Elrick, Arbroath Scout Leader, was photographed for her Portrait Gallery interview in the Arbroath Herald in April, 1992.

Pat lives at the Rest Home, and is up early to get into the new conservatory which is a beautiful light-filled room, with no TV. She was the wife of one of Bournemouth's beach photographers, and spent every summer at the kiosk where you could collect prints taken by him earlier in the day.

She is also quite a talented artist, but unfortunately gave most of her work to the family when she sold her house.

Pat isn't that fond of dogs, but loves to see others enjoying their visits.

She has all her mental faculties and we have a lot of fun recalling places and people together. I think she is in her early nineties.
