These two are my local partners for my photography club. Sr. Padre Amadeus is a celebrity, he runs the Catholic mission in my town, Doane, and has been here for over 50 years. Recently bought a photo printer from Greg. Greg in the middle is my South African benefactor. After leading a project to build a natural gas pipeline from Pande to Mambone to provide electricity, he married a Mozambican woman and they have a beautiful family. Currently back and forth South Africa to Moz, he plans to move to my town full time.
The PARTNERS Spring Luncheon benefiting the Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston was held Tuesday, March 19, at the River Oaks Country Club. This year's luncheon was co-chaired by Carolyn Moody Drake, BSN, RN, and Gina Saour, and it was a record-breaking year with a total of $223,000 raised to support scholarships, research, and nursing programs. This year's honoree was Dean Emerita Patricia Starck, and the keynote speaker was Dr. Ricardo Nuila, author of The People’s Hospital. (Photography by Priscilla Dickson)
