For Junebug64 - this was taken with a 58mm Hoya Infrared filter on the lens, set with the white balance to green. After that it was auto-leveled in photoshop and the red-blue channels swapped, to turn the red light into blue - a much more natural look for the sky. Since the white balance is set to green, the foliage becomes white, and the infrared light makes it 'glow' somewhat.
I tend towards subtlety: the inferred, the implied, the suggested. Guess that's why I am unimpressed with HDR...
An unusual find during my exploration of Venice. A ton of work balancing the light inside: frustrating to know that every screen will present it differently! :(( Have to try though; the muse demands...

The Partition Museum is a public museum located in the Town Hall in Amritsar, India. The museum aims to become the central repository of stories, materials, and documents related to the post-partition riots that followed the division of British India into India and Pakistan. The partition lines, drawn on a map by the British lawyer Cyril Radcliffe, divided the states of Punjab into West Punjab and East Punjab on the basis of religion. As a result, millions of people found themselves on the wrong side of the border overnight. According to various estimates, more than 800,000 Muslims, Hindus, and Sikhs were killed in the riots that followed the partition between August 1947 to January 1948. Additionally, more than 1,400,000 people became refugees.
The government of Punjab founded this museum with The Arts and Cultural Heritage Trust of the United Kingdom as a way to memorialize those who were affected by the partition.
Another image from Calais earlier in the year and this is a location that I've been wanting to get an image from for many a year. In fact this was the 3rd trip to this spot, so in effect it was thankfully 3rd time lucky.
The conditions were great for this particular image, but unlike my image Numerals, there was a lot of a footprints and other debris on the sand which time quite some time to remove, but got there in the end.
In other news, there will be a selection of my work on display at the Affordable Art Fair in Hong Kong: 22nd - 24th May 2015
