Concrete parking ramp at the southwest corner of 6th and Wells in Milwaukee, WI. The street address was 601 West Wells. For some reason the corner stairwell, with its yellow on black PARK sign, the green panels under the windows, and the Firestone garage always caught my eye. Photos taken March 2005. The ramp was later condemned because of deterioration, and demolished in 2014.
Notice how the white part of the image doesn't seem very sharp? Well I didn't notice until 1100 pictures later when I finally transfered them to my computer, but every image I took from this day forward came out like this.
My only idea of what happened is I was taking pictures the night before in a coffee shop that is so full of smoke it was nearly in a liquid state. I think the smoke residue got on the lens.
This was the top level of a parking structure in Chicago. Each level was named after a month. I guess if they had another level it would be 13 Smarch
