This parking structure is massive. It is 6 floors with spaces for 3100 cars as well as the largest in the entire CSU system. When I park in it I generally head straight to the top so I find a spot, and can easily remember where my car is.

Though I've been in and around this parking structure many a time, it was only the other night that I really noticed the different colored elevator doors. They really stand out when it's dark out and the brightest areas around are the landing areas right outside those doors.

I'm a little late joining in on the parking-structure demolition photos. But this is one detail of the old structure that I was particularly fond of.

1948-2006

Often claimed to be the first municipal parking structure in the world but I'm still looking for a primary source to suport that claim. The city website will tell you it's the oldest parking structure in Ann Arbor, big deal.

This is a view of a cover over the sidewalks leading from the parking garage where I work to the office buildings.

 

When I purchased the camera for $1 at the Salvation Army Family Store, it came with some film in it. There were two usable pictures. I posted one of them as part of this series. I took the rest of the pictures in this series using that roll. I don't know how old it was.
