We had to pop over to Ilkeston in Derbyshire the other day to pick up a parcel from City Link. Not the easiest place to find as it's hidden away at the back of an industrial estate in the Town. Anyway, I took this shot with Flickrite Woolfie Hills in mind, as Woolfie has an in-depth knowledge of panel vans and the delivery industry, and thought that he might like it.

In the commercial van market for companies that deliver parcels, documents, paper and janitorial products, food vending and medical supplies there are no ideal methods to safely transport a hand truck, without tossing it into the vehicle. Yesterday I got a card from the postie telling me of an attempted delivery. I had no idea what it was, but the reference number on the card told me that it was posted in Chester which made me suspect a despatch from Si and Karen.
Sure enough, my birthday present got collected today after a late dash to the sorting office.
Sadly, it's not a key to a new Bentley, but it does look a lot like one! It's a USB drive encased in a Bentley key fob, complete with lock and unlock buttons on the back.

The now rapidly growing bus system has been considerably expanded with the more flexible motor bus serving both as feeder services to tram routes along with serving growing suburbs, such as Lochend, where densities were seen as not warrentingt he fixed capital costs of tramway construction.
The growing popularity of the then seasonal tourist coach trips and bus services are also demonstrated with details of the various city trips and bus services to locations such as Hillend and Cramond.
