Debbie is passionate about paper, really passionate. With her background in the paper industry she knows a thing or two about paper. We got a call from Debbie while she was over in New York for the Stationery Show, “Can you print my business cards for when I return in a couple of days for PG Live in London?” How could we resist! The paper was chosen, the type set and colours picked in no time and the next day it was on the press.

The cards are printed with coral ink and finished off with matching edge colour. There was only one paper choice for a paper passionist – the awesome 600gsm Cranes Lettra Flourescent White.

A close-up of the vignette illustration that appears on a 1905 New Year greeting in the form of a check.

That's Father Time, who's holding his scythe as he drives an automobile through all the coins and currency on the ground. Is that Baby New Year with a cornucopia in the back seat?

Lepidoptera: Danaidae

Range: Philippines to Borneo and Formosa

Ours arrive from: Malaysia, Philippines

Food: various species in the milkweed family (Asclepiadaceae), including Hoya spp. and Tylophora spp.

This species is likely to be the most conspicuous butterfly in our green house, due to its large size, bright white color, and gentle, floating flight behavior. They tend to fly low and gracefully, lightly fluttering their wings while sipping nectar from flowers. Often, several males will simultaneously flutter around a female, vying for her attention. This is the largest species of milkweed butterflies (Danaiidae)in our facility. Caterpillars are velvety black in color, marked with narrow yellow bands and red spots, and adorned with four pairs of black filaments.

Paper wasps, yellow jackets, hornets, mason wasps, potter wasps in family of Vespidae. It have nearly 5,000 species. This is on her nest.

Paper Dome[1] is a temporary church building constructed using paper tubes as structural elements. It was designed on a pro-bono basis by Shigeru Ban, internationally known Japanese architect who is renowned for his paper tube structures and buildings. This temporary structure was built on September 17, 1995 to serve as a temporary church for Takatori Catholic Church after the Great Hanshin Earthquake. Nonetheless, the venue was not only limited for use to religious worship but also used as a place for communal gatherings. However, when the church community planned to build a permanent building, the structure was donated to Taomi Village[2] in Puli Township, Nantou County,Taiwan which had suffered the 921 Earthquake in 1999. The deconstructed structure was shipped in 2006 to Taiwan, reconstructed there and is now one of the top tourist attractions in that area.

I thought I had reverse engineered the model here (red one), but turns out this is another model. I hid the rest of the paper the best I could producing a thicker smaller model than the one I was aiming for.

You can see the other side (front or back whatever you want it to be) here.

I am almost positive that there is some modular wreath that looks just like this, but this one is made from a single square. I like how simple it looks even though it is not that simple.
