I take pictures because I like it, not because I am good at it.
The world is like a book and those, who do not travel, only read the first page.

Java Oriental, Indonesia

… this particular aircraft was built by Douglas for the US Army Air Corps, was almost immediately transferred to China, flew the ‘Hump’ over the Himalayas during the war and had such an eventful history it’s almost beyond belief.
It was finally bought by the Historic Flight Foundation in 2006 and restored to DC-3B specifications, similar to airliners operated by Pan Am in the early 1950s.

At f16 difraction is really kicking in and ruining sharpness for the small Nikon 1 system. However it was the only way to get a shutter speed slow enough for some panning.
Horno de pan. Veneguera.

I've fallen a thousand times, I know
But I never wanted to hide
The storm hits again
And yet I still stand
I won't run away
I will resist
Because I burn, I burn in my fire
Even if the world pushes me to the ground
Every wound made me stronger
I decide my own fate
If I break, I rebuild myself
There is no greater force than what I am
And even if I tremble, I remain whole
Because I burn, I burn in my fire.

Another cold Wisconsin winter night is nearing amid a snowstorm on the eve of December 3, 1990. I was out in the weather doing some photography after all of us were sent home from work early due to the storm. The last photo of the day ends up being a pan of the nose of Soo Line EMD SD40-2 No. 6602 leading an eastbound through Brookfield, Wisconsin, during the blue hour.
