Palm trees and blue skies on a Philippine island beach near the Cloud Nine surf pier. Philippines travel: exploring Siargao Island and Surigao del Norte in Mindanao.
Walking two kilometers from the bus stop to the airport. It was a long walk. The sidewalk has a nice pattern of bricks.
Don't ever plant queen palms. And if you do, for Pete's sake, don't plant 19 of them on your property like the previous owners of our house did. We actually had 9 of them cut down after we bought the place. They planted them so close to each other and some of them were starting to cause damage to the walls in the backyard.
Anyways, every few weeks I have to cut down the frods (palm tree leaves) as well as these flower/fruit clusters that make a huge ol' mess. It's a lot of work. It puts strain on my neck (from having to look up while doing this) as well as my arms and hands. I can't wait til we move to a condo where i wont have to do this and cut the crass anymore. lol
