This 48 page pamphlet was put out by the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce in 1928. It offers a fascinating look at Southern California during the 1920's.
About 10 years old, growing in Mobile Alabama..... sorry I uploaded a photo which had been edited with Pixelmator and looks buggy as a garden specimen. I will take another, and a closeup of the long thorns, which must protect the plant from something bad in its native environment. I use respect in pruning its stems!
