A sunrise over the Ribble Estuary at Lytham. The colours and textures in the sky reminded me very much of an oil painting with dabs of the brush to create those highlighted small clouds.

It makes you feel good to be alive and able to witness moments like these and also to catch them in camera. The joys of a good sunrise!

Ross Dock Picnic Area is a large scenic riverfront picnic area just north of the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, New Jersey. It is also the site of Carpenter’s Grove and the Hazard’s Ramp boat-launching ramp. It offers great views of the river, George Washington Bridge, NYC, and the Palisades Park.

5 photo stitch panorama. Rock formation in California's Death Valley where the minerals have come to the surface

8x10 Watercolor I wanted to paint a portrait using only one color. I used M Graham's Terra Rosa. I forget I have this paint since it isn't in most of my palettes but I really like it. It's really creamy and blends and shades nicely I think. I used a photograph by Dmitriy Ilkevich on the Unsplash website as my reference photo (Thanks!!)
