There isn't many beaches around Hong Kong. Tai Pak Beach at Discovery Bay seemed small to me. Maybe it's just me, but the highrise dominates the view.

長洲北帝廟，又叫做長洲玉虛宮，因為中國廟宇向來都係一廟多神。呢個北帝廟嚮長洲神社街嘅北邊。廟入面有好多古董、歷史、文物，例如一座古鐘上面刻住「乾隆四十九年」。
長洲北帝廟而家由華人廟宇委員會管理。嚮長洲太平清醮時，呢個玉虛宮前面球場，係主要儀式嘅活動場地，例如長洲搶包山等。
Today I only have one post, and it's coming a little later than usual. The reason is that my day started very early and was very eventful.
You'll gradually find out what those events were. Here's a little hint.
Here you're looking at the village of Pak Ou, which lies on the river of the same name, where it flows into the Mekong. Behind it is the mountain of the same name (so they weren't very imaginative when it came to names).
And this whole scene is taking place in Laos, not far from the former capital, Luang Prabang.
Heute gibt es von mir nur einen Post und der kommt auch noch etwas später als üblich. Der Grund dafür ist, dass mein Tag heute sehr früh begann und sehr erlebnisreich war.
Was zu diesen Erlebnissen alles gehörte, werdet Ihr nach und nach hier erfahren. Hier seht Ihr schon einmal einen kleinen Hinweis.
Ihr blickt hier auf das Dorf Pak Ou, welches am gleichnamigen Fluß liegt, der an dieser Stelle in den Mekong mündet und hinter dem sich der gleichnamige Berg befindet (also was Namen anbelangt war man hier wohl nicht sehr einfallsreich).
Und diese ganze Szene spielt sich übrigens in Laos unweit der ehemaligen Hauptstadt Luang PraBang ab.

Hino is most popular truck in Pakistan. The truck art/decoration is in our culture and they are beauty of the roads.
It took a great deal of time in the supermarket to find three pak choi without holes or dead leaves!
V roce 2024 vyjely na Zubačku (trať mezi Tanvaldem a Kořenovem) poprvé historické motoráčky, které provozuje spolek Zubačka společně s muzeem v Kořenově. Na historické vlaky jsou vystavované motorové vozy 810 (M 152.0) a nejčastěji pak vozy 810.617 a 810.157, které byly zakoupeny od Českých Drah.
Historický motoráček je takový doplněk velkých jízd na Zubačce s ozubnicovou lokomotivou. Cestující si mohou projet ozubnicovou trať z Tanvaldu do Kořenova a dále pak až do Harrachova. A následně navštívit s průvodcem Výtopnu a prohlédnout si zdejší muzeum v nádražní budově.
Na snímku z 18. ledna 2025 mezi Desnou a Tanvaldem sledujeme motorový vůz 810.617, který klesá na spádu 56 promile do údolí Tanvaldu. Tento vůz je opatřen historickým lakem „polomáčený s oranžovým pruhem“.
Pak Khlong Talat is a market in Wang Burapha Phirom Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok, Thailand, that sells flowers, fruits, and vegetables. It is the primary flower market of Bangkok and has been cited as a "place of symbolic value" to Bangkok residents. It is on Chak Phet Road and adjacent side-streets, close to Memorial Bridge. Though the market is open 24 hours, it is busiest before dawn, when boats and trucks arrive with flowers from nearby provinces. Its location by Chao Phraya River near the southern end of Khlong Khu Mueang Doem, hence the name 'Pak Khlong Talat', literally means "the market on the mouth of the canal".
Hey all,
I finished this thing about a week ago when Brickalicious (Gabriel) came out with his amazing design. I wanted something a bit different from him, so I used all the spare U-clips I had for this. I'm really satisfied with this design, and once I get some dark grey U-clips I'll be set! I know the rims are a bit too small comparing to the real thing, but I do like the more 'off road' look of it.
Lots of credit goes to Gabe's amazing design.

The Mills (南豐紗廠), formerly known as Nang Fung Cotton Mills, located at No. 45 Pak Tin Par Street, Chai Wan Kok, Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong, was founded in 1954 by Chen Din Hwa, known as the "King of Cotton Yarn", founder of Nan Fung Group. The total floor area is 24,500 square meters, making it the highest producing textile factory in Hong Kong at the time. Subsequently, Unit 1 to Unit 3 were dismantled after the filming of the fire scene in the 1997 Hong Kong film Lifeline and became the private residential estate Summit Terrace, while Unit 4 to Unit 6 ceased operation in 2008 and were converted into warehouses.
In 2014, Nan Fung Cotton Mills began revitalization works, and after completion of the project on December 6, 2018, it opened with spaces for work, a textile cultural and arts center, retail areas, and recreational spaces.

Het wolkendek heeft als (enige?) voordeel dat ik treinen uit 2 kanten kunnen fotograferen. Het is hier altijd wel opletten geblazen aangezien de trein vaak snel de hoek om komt. De HSL 187 535, die er overigens schoon uitziet, heeft een leuke BLG autotrein bij zich waarbij de Toyota bussen op heb bovendek plaats hebben mogen nemen. Pak je toch ff mee zo. Lindhorst 06-06-2019

Walmart an Target has paks for $8, but not THESE so they were worth it.
