Thanks to my dear Flickr friend Patiblue

I found out soon enough that my last upload made it to the "EXPLORE" Front Page...
Thanks, Pati! I appreciate it a lot...
And, yes, it's quite thrilling... much more than I thought!!!
;-)
This is an ORIGINAL Irving Klaw 1950s shot of Bettie, not a recent reprint. In fact I've never seen this one for sale anywhere. All the decor was blacked out, badly, except for a lampshade and the couch.
My friend Spike in New York, who sent me this little treasure, turned me on to Bettie in the late 80s and sends me Bettie Page stuff now and then that a collector friend of his gives him.
I love Bettie Page, but then, who doesn't? I have a couple of other items of her that he sent that are worth scanning and posting here in the future.
What do you foresee on your next page?
there is always more to tell
than what's already been told
much more to follow
merely waiting for hermetic time to unfold
here we go, take the plunge
into the water, out of the blue
gilt-edged pages to read by Autumn's fireside
the open air of endless words...
just turn the esoteric page outside
it's only you and the 'me' in words unseen
page 2 will endeavour to appease the devout
if your initial précis remains insufficient,
call upon the future and dowse the past,
with heavenly spirit so omniscient
words await your tales to tell
the next pages, over and again
nature's opportune cinéma vérité unfurled
one becomes two becomes oh-so-you
a raison d'être within our beautified world.

I wonder what she's thinking...
I have an 80 year old photographer as a mentor, and since the pool we were using was near his condo, he dropped in. Frank is a retired veteran of photography, so when he is on the scene, I like to get him to help. Frank's specialty was photographing women, and his nickname was Hef, so, well, he is quite at home working with a swimsuit model. I forgot to tell him that Page had some reservations about looking like she fell out of a Playboy magazine. So I thought she might be a bit hesitant when he was coaching her in cleavage enhancing poses like this one. But the professional that Page is, she never wavered, and even looks like she is having some fun.
She's probably thinking - "My boyfriend's really going to like this."
Is coming back!!
Taken ont he 2nd - I've got about 30 photos I've never uploaded, oops.

Page is a city in Coconino County, Arizona, United States, near the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell. Unlike other cities in the area, Page was founded in 1957 as a housing community for workers and their families during the construction of nearby Glen Canyon Dam on the Colorado River. In 1997, Antelope Canyon was discovered on Navajo land adjacent to Page. This natural slot canyon, formed by erosion, has created a steady increase in tourism for Page, as word spread of the beauty of the canyon.
Time before mobile phones. This is my old InterLinc SuperMini pager. It beeped only once when it was in use. I was so excited that I rushed immediately into the nearest public phone booth to make a call to that number in pagers display. The number was my mothers which I did not recall bacause of all that excitement. It is a nice relic though.
Spring is on the way. Some trees, like the bauhenia are beginning to burst into pale pink. These stocks filled the house with their wonderful fragrance until yesterday when they started to stink unpleasantly. Compost now, isn't nature wonderful. Here I have stuck them between two pages, or textures if you will. One is by Leschick here

and the other is called 'shoegazing' and is by NKL

This colorful building just had to be captured there under that blue sky and clouds. This is in Luray, Virginia.
Happy Window Wednesday
99-photo multi-row HDR panorama. 31,915 x 16,553. (528 megapixels.)
Before sunrise. Sunrise would happen directly behind me shortly after this was taken.
I shot this from 20 meter to the left of Horsehoe Bend No. 1.
The lighting differences between these two photos are subtle at first, but once you study it more, they become very obvious.
I was able to keep more of the foreground going down the hill in this shot because I was standing on a rock (rather precariously) instead of behind a fence like the first photo.
This one only took ~2 hours to process using the new workflow. (Create HDR in LR, adjust with camera color profiles, export as TIF, import to PTGui, merge, edit in Photoshop to crop empty areas out, import into LR, edit in Topaz DeNoise AI, adjust treatment and tone curve in LR, then export final image.)
We only spent one night in Page, Arizona. I'm going to post a handful of photos from Horseshoe Bend taken at different times of day, under different lighting conditions, and from different perspectives. I also have some nice photos of Jess that I still haven't got around to sharing.
