As it is said, this is the era of pomp and show. What can be seen, sells. External packaging is the primary thing any of your clients are going to see. The Package design of any product is the backbones of its marketing – it Is what you base your marketing campaigns on.
Item packaging is what the audience considers when they take a look at the packing: it's the case the toy comes in, the jug with a name, the wrapper of a treat. Each & every layer of this packaging allows you to recount to a piece of your story. The packaging is incredible on the grounds that it performs at the 'last mile'.
We understand that package designing is the last stage of manufacturing a product and extremely important. I am sending our daughter in South Korea a care package today. She could get this package in a week or a month, it just depends on when they mail them or send them over with visiting families. Setting: Springbac, a (hangover remedy) beverage from South Africa reached the States choosing Brainswitch Advertising to launch their product. After conducting initial research, we designed their logo and packaging, created a strong brand identity and developed a compelling ad campaign appealing to urban audiences.
Challenge: As a controversial product we where required to walk a fine thin line making sure the brand was desirable for the chosen demographic while not appearing to endorse excessive alcohol consumption.
Strategy: An exceptionally integrated campaign was developed around the message “For the Party Animal in You” aimed at trend-setters that included traditional and non traditional media, viral, web, outdoor, unusual grassroots and promotional efforts, off and on premise and print ads in college newspapers. The brand has achieved notoriety and generated buzz from a brand identity standpoint as well as messaging and marketing communications. In essence the brand emerged as a category unto itself. completed and printed box on 260gsm card! quite difficult to fold but looks great. A bit disappointed on how the 'leather' texture turned out, unless you pay close attention it just looks like a black solid. Happy with the finished product though.

Today i got a fantastic package from the dynamic duo, 64Colors - and what a package!
Not only did it contain BOTH of their 3" Dunnys from the 2011 series (easily my favourite designs!) but a matching print too! Beautiful!
If that wasn't enough, they were accompanied by a hardarse, cigar smoking Marshall who means business and his ever so cheerful GID Gumdrop!
I gotta say, i'm a HUGE fan of Gumdrop. He's even cooler in the hand than i thought he was gonna be, and man, i thought he was cute as a button.
So yeah, massive thanks to 64Colors on this rainy London morning, it sure got brighter all of a sudden!

My swap package received from Etoile2B. She really spoiled me!
In my package I found:
-A wonderful roll for my crochet hooks (with a few crochet hooks in it even!), which is just awesome because I happened to misplace my old one when I moved. Not to mention, this one is waaayyy better!
-fabric from LaurieWisbrun's Urban Circus line (love this fabric!)
-a sweet little pincushion
-bamboo knitting needles (I can ALWAYS use more knitting needles!)
-some tags to sew into my crocheting, really cute and I just have to say that all of this crochet stuff has me flipping through my patterns itching to start another project...good thing there are a lot of babies expected in the New Year!
-two spools of thread and a ball of some cool self striping yarn
-Last but definitely not least, a little wall hanging from some FFA2 which I can't wait to hang on my wall with the other decorations I've received lately :)
