Still air and contrasty light enabled a nice reflection.
Out of the camera unadjusted. Original 48mp RAW
I like the gentle tones of the sky and water here in this reprocessed 4 minute exposure from 2014 ...
Looking perfectly at home on the four-track section, 35028 'Clan Line' heads the 1Y82 12:28 London Victoria to Shalford 'Belmond British Pullman' circular dining train from London Victoria, approaching Putney on a warm Thursday 18th April 2019.

Thank you all for viewing, please check out my photos, collections and albums.
Two decades ago or more, I would have thought it highly unlikely for a Crompton Class 33/2 to be seen working passenger coaching stock in the London suburbs, and having grown up on the B.R. Southern Region this is indeed a sight for sore eyes. And I cannot get enough of it, as much as I favour steam traction. On 20th August 2019, West Coast's 'Slim Jim' 33207 works the 5Z82 12:43 Windsor & Eton Riverside to London Waterloo empty stock for the 'Royal Windsor Steam Express', looking entirely at home in leafy Putney, despite the livery it carries today. Already signs of autumn's onset are evident, as well as the lengthening shadows encroaching over the lines used for the charter services.

Spring 1981.
The building is Putney Wharf as seen from the Putney Bridge.
It was shot at sunset but I was facing east; the sunset behind me looked like molten lava but I felt the view of Putney Harbour from the bridge was too cluttered for decent silhouettes (though I photographed it anyway).

GBRf 69003 is seen on the approach to Putney station working 4Y19 12:30 Mountfield - Southampton Docks. Was hoping to get the SWR 455 & the 69 together however we weren't quite in the right place at the right time, oh well. 05/04/22
Closely observed by a young admirer, GB Railfreight 66766 powers through Putney station working the 6M79 12:01 Angerstein Wharf to Bardon Hill bogie stone hoppers on Tuesday 20th August 2019.
