Still in Elora, a few things caught my eye in this scene - I liked the color transition of the creeper, juxtaposed on the difference in textures between the shingles and stone foundation, and then the blue pushpin, which I didn't see until I had the picture up on my computer.

A Venetian gondolier pushes off from the corner of the building behind him to help navigate another turn. This was the morning we went in search of Marco Polo's house, not far from the Rialto Bridge and then afterwards, in search of a church that was famous for a famous sculptors tomb!

A surprise visitor to Preston today was LSLs retro Push & Pull set headed by 47712 undertaking a couple of test runs prior to a tour of Scotland which will include a couple of runs on its old stamping ground on the E&G route.
It was noted however that the DBSO has a noticeable wheel flat so hopefully that won't spoil things.

had a right grump on at work yesterday so much so I decided that I did want to be Helen in such a state and decided I wouldn't go dancing.
Well I got home still grumpy kicked the imaginary cat and hid upstairs. then the wife had a word like she does.
Well that was a good enough push to make me go dancing 💃.
left my wife entertaining her friend and her friends granddaughter and our daughter .
had a good time dancing so was worth going in the end.
I do hate it when the stress of work carries over into my personal life.
this is what I wore last night
I never got to achieve my great teenage ambition of climbing Mount Everest (but then anyone with US$100,000 can do that these days basically carried up the mountain by the Sherpas). For the real climbers K2 is the challenge.
But I used to love rock climbing. And I really enjoyed this challenge. It's not a difficult climb and it you're fit (and I'm not as fit as I should be) you get a chance to see Tasmania from the second highest location on the island.
Once again no snow, but very cold in the shadows and so you can see the ice is still there. We are approaching from the south face, so the Winter sun is behind those rocks. Just over that ridge is the summit of Legges Tor.
