The PlayStation 2′s controller represented a radical shift in controller design from the earlier PlayStation controllers. Clearly, the designers took the saying “The more things change, the more they stay the same” to heart, inverted the clauses, and developed a gamepad that stayed completely the same, and therefore must, in fact, be a great change.
Oh, and it’s black. And supposedly has “Analog Buttons”, which you probably never really noticed in any game you ever played.

I soooooooo want one! Talked to one of the developers, Chalsey (Hi!), who ensured me it was going to ba able to manage weights up to 300 pounds - I'm far less than that. It's most probably going to be sold for a hundred bucks as a companion product to the game. It's going to be produced for all the common major consoles like Nintendo Wii, PS2 and X-Box.
Finally added Phase Paradox to my collection. I remember importing the first Philosoma upon its JP release day and loving it, but somehow its sequel managed to elude me until now. The sequel is not a shooter.

My accelerator pedal potentiometer was going haywire, and wouldn't respond to compressed air. So I decided to open it up! According to other places on the web, the potentiometers are gold and have individual quick-disconnect terminals, but this must be a new version with blue plastic pot covers and little 3-wire connectors.
I just removed the connectors, swabbed the metal and connector bottom with rubbing alcohol, and smoothed out some of the grease where it had squished out of the bearing surface. Good as new!
