Hopefully they come back next year! I got the privilege of helping them build their nest. The mother bird was very intent on taking goose feathers into the house, but couldn't get them inside. She had a pile at the bottom of the post that this house sits on. Once she was inside, I simply stuck the quill of the feather in the hole, and she pulled the feather in!! I think she got 5-6 feathers from me!
Sorry for my absence on flickr. Been going through some hard stuff. But I know everyone has those moments. That's why I love this pic of the seagull with his wings outstretched and holding himself as tall and proud as he possibly can! Inspired to post this from Steve's seagull pics. I love the way they soar and swoop and pounce.
Seamus "helps" me plant things. He is a great supervisor and has many qualities that would make him a good foreman. However, I am "foreman" on all gardening projects, so he helps by offering moral support and by pointing out things I may have missed due to my extreme focus on the task at hand. He offers insights like, "Hey, is it time for a treat?" and "Is anyone else thirsty?" or "Look! A squirrel!!" But we don't see many squirrels in our yard, so he is more apt to point out a skunk or groundhog or deer or rabbit...

I decided to left my project again :( cause I made so bad pictures and I feel frustrated about it. I think that maybe in januar I'll beggin my 2010 project but without bad pics. So there are a selection of the 'best' (I know my pics sucks a lot) pics that I have made before my decision.
Today my sister went to France, I was with her the vacations and I love the time that we spent together. She is my proud, and Im so happy for she, I know that she going to be happy and that is what matters. A secret...I miss her so much!
What a majestic and proud looking creature! Would love to have a tripod and more time to refine these shots.
