My business brochure, by www.backroomsam.co.uk/

Photographed with Canon TS-E 24mm f3.5 tilt/shift lens using 5 deg downward tilt to maximise depth of field. Tripod. Mix of daylight and ordinary domestic low-energy bulb. Tweaked white balance in post-processing, but know this wasn't an ideal mix. Found f16 was if anything less sharp than f11, so used the wider aperture. Because of the tilt I might even have been able to use f8 without penalty. Even though this is the superseded (and hence for me JUST affordable!) Mk I lens, I increasingly regard it as indispensable, for general and handheld photography too. And I recently started using it on my APS-C body as a wide standard 38mm equivalent. A Lune estuary landscape in this mode is coming soon.

There aren’t many football clubs in England that can be proud of having a history that is as vast as the one behind Blackpool FC, an English football club that is now competing in the second English Championship League.

What started as a church club was known as Victoria FC in 1877 led to the rise of one of the most authentic, original and historic football clubs in the world. This was also the year when the name was changed under the chairmanship of Mr Samuel Bancroft that gave the name himself. The first-time people saw the iconic tangerine-black striped football kits was in 1923 when Blackpool drew against Oldham Athletic in the opening game of the new season.

The Iconic Shades of Tangerine and Some of The Most Notable Achievements

Even though the shade of tangerine was not what the club was looking for in their first seasons, it soon wore off as a tradition that the brand had at the time. There have been many new shades of tangerine, but the colour has always been kept in combination with black – which is one more fact that speaks a lot about the tradition of Blackpool FC.

Some of the most notable achievements of the club include winning the 1953 FA Cup Final against Bolton Wanderers (4-3) and making three FA Cup Final appearances in six years during the 1950s. The best position that the club had, on the other hand, was a runner-up to Manchester United in the Football League First Division in the 1955-56 season.

There were many names that crowned the national jersey as well, especially in 1953, when even four Blackpool players were in the England team against Hungary, causing many positive rumours about the dominance of the club in the English football.

Promotion Winners in Every Division Of The Football League So Far

What is also notable for Blackpool is that even though its fortunes have varied since the 1950s, it is among the few clubs to have won promotion from every division of the Football League via the playoff system.

Today, Blackpool’s iconic tangerine colored kits speak for the long tradition of the club. Blackpool’s motto is Progress – and their biggest rivals are Preston North End, with matches between the two clubs being known as the West Lancashire derby.

I'm proud to report you about the concert of Anneke van Giersbergens band VUUR. Last night I had the honor to receive a photo pass for the great show of VURR at Colos-Saal, Aschaffenburg.

The first time I noticed Annekes fantastic voice was since her guest appearance during the Black Symphony concert in 2008 of the Dutch symphonic metal band "Within Temptation" and as the singer of "The Gathering".

Now Annekes new solo project VUUR starts their first headliner tour in february 2018. VUUR is Dutch and means fire. Anneke and the band translate this fire in a warm, melodic but also powerfully sound. All around it was a very successful and amazing prog-show. I hope we will be able to hear more of them in future.

The Vegas Tourist is proud to bring you the Barrel Racing event… ten days of the best cowgirls and the fastest turn and burn horses in the sport of rodeo. A cowgirl and her horse enter the arena at full speed, complete a cloverleaf pattern around three barrels (fifty-five gallon plastic drums), and then they race back out of the arena. The cloverleaf pattern is comprised of the three barrels being set in a triangle formation; the cowgirl can either take the right or left barrel first. Cowgirls are not disqualified for touching a barrel.

Time is kept by means of an electronic eye (a laser device), measuring the run in hundredths of a second, which means times are very close. If a barrel is knocked over then a five second penalty is added to the time, which almost guarantees the cowgirl no chance at the money. The fastest time is what will win the prize money.

Barrel Racing is a combination of several factors to ensure a successful run, how athletic the horse is, how good of a horsewoman and rider the cowgirl is, arena footing – the type of ground and the depth, and even a little luck.

The cowgirls and their horses gave a lot of try this year, and the horses dug deep down to give that little bit extra. Some dreams were dashed with a knocked over barrel, which allowed others to fulfill their dreams. Come turn and burn with The Vegas Tourist for Barrel Racing from the NFR.

Proud to report that Army National Guard Soldiers are hard at work supporting the mission here at U.S. Army Central in Kuwait. The Command Chief Warrant Officer of the ARNG, CW5 Peter Panos, and I got to speak with units, promote some fine young Soldiers, and witness excellent training. Every job they do helps support the Warfight, and makes our Army Total Force ready and lethal.
