This pair of Northern Pintail were among a big flock of Mallards. The male was following a female Mallard while this female Northern Pintail was completely ignoring him. I wonder what he told her or what she told him.

The deer stands motionless in the wildpark on a cold winter day. Its fur is a deep brown, with white patches around its neck and stomach. Its ears are perked up, listening intently for any sound of danger. Its large, black eyes dart around the landscape, alert and watchful. The snow rests lightly on its back, making it look like a frosted sculpture among the barren trees.
A lovely little fir stands proud against its grown up neighbour. Taken in my favourite sea of ferns in Hillock Wood, Buckinghamshire.

I'm not sure if she's still in breeding plumage but both of the parents coloration was just gorgeous!

Four weeks old, puppies are coming on a treat, they had their photoshoot today to hopefully help find them lovely homes. Three down, only five to go.
