The philosophic concept has an inspiring effect on my appreciation of deriving will power from within while keeping diverse faces of our expressions alert and million eyes of our moments in life awake to protect self from the evils around...there is none to protect us except us in strengthening ourselves by abiding roles and responsibilities of both citizenship and individual.
Mere wishes will not work until we sincerely act as our governments are advising us to do and as our moral senses direct.

One with the beautiful Nikon 50mm f1.2Ais @ f2.8 - balancing on a big tree stump to get the right perspective. Only way to get a decent shutter speed while I was balancing 3 feet up was to raise the ISO to 800 and open the aperture to 2.8
New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R42 no. 4807 (St. Louis Car Co., 1969-1970) is the lead motor on an out-of-service train rising onto the IND Liberty Avenue Line at Liberty Junction. This train was acting as a protect train for an R211T train that had been running on the Rockaway Line test track earlier in the day, which had passed just minutes before en-route back to Pitkin Yard.
Unfortunately my shot of the R211T train that I had waited hours for was blocked by a southbound A train that departed Rockaway Blvd Station too soon...

This watchful fox momma stands guard over her kits as they play on a sunny morning at the edge of a dilapidated barn. Last year there was a litter at this same barn; it was a thrill to see foxes at the same place this spring.

That hard stare is universal in its meaning. This mama bear had staked out her fishing hole and so many other bears passed by giving her a wide berth and she hardly ever glanced their way. This bear was different. The cubs knew it, too. They huddled, she glared. The big male kept coming. The family quietly left the river for the cover of the alders allowing him to pass by without altercation.

Rafael Lopez de San Roman Blanco is a professional muralist based in the United States. He has been a studio artist since 2004 and has an extensive exhibition record both nationally and internationally. More recently, Blanco has been transforming his studio background in order to create large-scale public mural paintings in the United States. His medium of choice is a combination of exterior latex house paint and water mixable oils; and once completed, his murals are sealed with a UV and water sealer/protector to ensure their vibrant life for 20–30 years. He blends classic studio painting techniques like glazing with large-scale mural techniques. He also uses computer visual techniques like transparency layers in his mural work and plays with classical and contemporary styles. Blanco is also an Assistant Professor of Art at Elmhurst University and he resides in Aurora, Illinois, with his family.
The Tsaatan’s daily life is perhaps best described as bordering on subsistence living, meaning they survive only by virtue of man’s basic needs: air, water, food, clothing and shelter.
The traditional dwelling of the Tsaatan is the Tipi , a conical tent made of animal skin and wooden poles, which is easy to set up and pack. They certainly cannot be said to lead a sedentary life.
Reindeer play an integral role in the day-to-day life of the Tsaatan.
We crossed paths yesterday in the shade below a tree in my garden. She is really tiny--those leaves are from a spiraea and are less than 1" long.
