Prospect of Lye Volvo B8R Plaxton Leopard PR16 TOM in Weston-super-mare this morning, 23rd June, 2022.
The row of six Arts and Crafts style stucco houses – 935 - 943 Prospect Place – was built in the early 1920s. The developer and builder of the row was Thomas H. Fraser. Architect A. White Pierce was known for his work on suburban residential architecture, including many houses in Prospect Park South and Ditmas Park. The houses were designed with touches like steeply pitched gables, dormers, arched openings and a sloped slate roof that unifies the row.
The cottages on Prospect Place consist of two outside houses that are a bit larger than the center ones and set closer to the street. The other four are set back. The interior houses share chimneys, while three arched openings in the group access the garages in back.

Prospect Coaches PR19STU "Stuart" seen in Manchester Shudehill Interchange on Megabus M66 from Birmingham
On a picture-perfect (to me anyway) snowy night, a Milwaukee County Transit System bus on Route 30X-Sherman/Wisconsin Express blurs northbound on Prospect Ave on Milwaukee's Lower East Side. Route 30X was discontinued a few months ago, combined with Route 30. Schedule frequency of the latter was increased, so service levels remained more or less the same, only without the option of a very slightly faster trip over the same route on the 30X.

In the 17th century, it became the hostelry of choice of "Hanging" Judge Jeffreys, scourge of the Monmouth Rebellion. He lived nearby and a replica gallows and noose hangs by the Thameside window, commemorating his custom. He was chased by anti-Royalists into the nearby Town of Ramsgate, captured and taken to the Tower for his own safety. According to legend, criminals would be tied up to the posts at low tide and left there to drown when the tide came in. Execution Dock was actually by Wapping Old Stairs and generally used for pirates. In the eighteenth century, the first fuchsia plant in the United Kingdom was sold at the pub.
Views from the pub were sketched by both Turner and Whistler. The writers Charles Dickens and Samuel Pepys are known to have paused to sup here.
