Well I've finally gotten off my ass and got out to do some shooting lately! :-)
We had some great clouds/skies/sunsets over the last week so I decided to take a little hike along one of my favorite "hidden" locations. The Indian Point Trail runs along the coastline near Prospect which is about a 25 minute drive from my place in Halifax (the city). This is really great spot but hardly anyone knows where it is and I only usually see a few locals here out walking their dogs. It's a great spot for photos though; there is a nice rugged coastline, usually good waves and the sun sets over the ocean. That isn't always easy to find here on the east coast because the sun sets in the west of course. Prospect is on a peninsula and faces west so it's a good spot for sunsets.
So anyway I good a couple decent sunset shots but this isn't one of them:-) This was taken on my way back along the trail about 20 minutes after the sun had set (the start of the blue hour). It was actually getting quite dark but I like the sky looked and the way the late day light clung to the town and rocks below.
By the way, I will post one of the sunset shots next time :-)

This is actually a Vertorama; it's like a panorama but the the images are stacked on top of each other instead of side by side. I wanted to capture the two big rocks in front and well as that whole fanned out cloud formation in one image but even with the 10mm I couldn't get it all in one frame. Paul Bruins vertorama technique to the rescue!! LoL

Prospect of Lye Volvo B8R Plaxton Leopard PR16 TOM in Weston-super-mare this morning, 23rd June, 2022.
Prospect Harbor Lighthouse, perched on the east side of the entrance to Prospect Harbor, Maine, was originally established on April 2, 1849 after $4,968.17 had been spent on its construction.
The original lighthouse took the form of a granite conical tower attached to a one-and-a-half-story granite keeper’s dwelling. Samuel H. Sargent replaced Nathaniel Noyes, the first person appointed keeper of the lighthouse, in March 1849.
New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) Q trains arrive and depart Prospect Park station on the BMT Brighton Line during a snowstorm. Both trains are made up of R160A cars manufactured by Alstom from 2005-2010.
When we arrived at the strawberry farm, they had already picked all the ripe ones. Those which were left should be ready for the next day's harvest, with various shades of red/dark pink, all from the bottom up.
Altogether a very nice place, wet with water drops from the early morning rain, very green and fresh with crisp cool air, unpolluted by exhaust fume and whatnot. The staff of the farm was extraordinary, surprisingly friendly and helpful.

Caught it out the corner of my eye hiking cross country down a canyon. Couldn't tell if it was natural or not at first. Momentarily got excited thinking it was another cave. Alas, just a prospect tucked away in a hidden fold of the Mojave.

The only Duple 425 integral operated by Prospect of Lye is seen at their depot on 1st November, 2007. YIL 2760 had been new to Myalls of Bassingbourn as E907 EAY and came via TRS Coaches, Leicester.
Swans, ducks, geese, American coots often hibernate in New York City.

It seems I had been tagged a week or two back I had originally said I would never participate in the tagging but as I was asked nicely and the person who tagged be apologized after she tagged me I decided to do a list. 3: Further to number two we will be renewing our vows on Aug 29th, our anniversary, this Saturday. (I did give her a chance to run, but she refused)
4: I am as avid a fly tier, as I am a photographer, and I do fish with the flies I tie
catch and release only
5: I was a police officer (Military)
6: A car accident ended my Military Career and put me in the hospial for ten months, almost like Evel Knievel have had just about every bone in my body broken. Now everyone knows why I walk funny I really am not drunk !
7: I really enjoy my evening drink of wine or maybe a Brandy or Appleton Estate 21 year Old Rum
8: I am an environmentalist is every sense of the word.
9: I am a blueberry addict, love them however I can get them and I eat them everyday in one way or another
10: Lastly I am an adrenalin junky, have done a bungee jump, sky diving, hang gliding and para gliding, too old for most of this now but plan to do a solo sky dive on my 65th birthday.
Prospect is a Canadian coastal community on the Chebucto Peninsula in Nova Scotia's Halifax Regional Municipality.
It borders the Atlantic Ocean approximately 23 kilometers southwest of Halifax off the Prospect Bay Road.
