This was from a shop window in Juneau, AK. It may have been called the Russia House, but I don't remember for sure. Posted for Smile on Saturday theme: sequence/progression. Post-processed to help the dolls stand out from the cluttered background and with processing erased from the dolls.
Four wild carrot (or Queen Anne’s Lace) flowers from our garden in stages from flower towards seed head.

5 RAW, 5 Cont, 5Tiff, Adobe Focus Shifting Technic PNG 16.4 MB. RP.
Hi-resolution Full-Frame image.
Focus Shift photography:
The camera (Nikon Z 5) takes a series of shots (5 photos in this case) starting from a selected focus position (Foreground) and continuing toward infinity.
The camera must be set on a Tripod,
Exposure must be locked on the first image taken.
Finally, all images must be checked to make sure that all progressions in the scene are in sharp focus.
All five photos were loaded into an application to merge a single image with all sections that are in the desired depth of field in sharp focus.
We finally have frost. I love to watch the progression of these lanterns from green to orange to porous where the red seed appears.
In 2017 we planted three small perennial plants of Physalis alkekengi, (aka bladder cherry, Chinese lantern, Japanese-lantern, strawberry, groundcherry, or winter cherry). I love the cheery orangish lantern-shaped paper-like pod or husk around each bright round seed.
Now we have many new volunteer plants in addition to those we planted. Another fun photo to take advantage of this morning's frost, with camera, tripod splayed, and coffee. And reading no news!

For "Smile on Saturday" ; theme : "sequence/progression".
This is the inside of the beautiful corten steel fire we've enjoyed this summer and autumn. The patina being created inside is rather beautiful, like a work of art. Pity about the poor photo quality but I liked the colours and gradients.
Often when I use glass balls in a photograph I include too much of my lounge or myself in the picture, this time I wrapped shiny gift wrap round the table to prevent this. It may be possible to see something in the large globe but that is slightly out of focus.
