Earlier this week, I headed to London to meet with a surgeon who will be undertaking my GRS.
She confirmed that she is happy to operate on me and that the surgery will be in March / April 2022. Yes, NEXT YEAR!!
This is BIG!
If I'm honest, I'm petrified about the surgery and not looking forward to it, nor the recovery, but I realise I have to go through with it to get the results I want.
Let the countdown commence...

This photo shows a number of chess pawns lined accprding to their size. It is a free and easy allegory (or maybe a harsh truth) referring to some professional career. And what is your opinion? Feel free to express it in the comment section under this photo. And don't forget to give it a little star.

If you think the face of the Pendolino is looking a bit perplexed it’s due to the cover plate not being seated correctly.

24-hours of cold weather later and the volunteers have made real progress with the ice surface.

It's shaping up, folks! Operation Bricklord: Europe at War is looking promising. This is today's progress, I've completed the bridge, and am adding little details all over the place.
This is about half/ two thirds of my contributions.
(Pardon the crappy iPhone photo)
So I've made a lot of progress on Deadpool. I will probaly finish him in the next day or two. As you can see his head is a little big. I decided I cut away all of the procreate and just repaint the head, this happened literally 5 minutes from when this was uploaded. Tell me what you think! Comments more appreciated than faves!
With 60096 ‘Impetus’ sat gurgling away to itself in the Down Waterloo siding, 69003, 69001 and 69006 sit quietly in Waterloo Siding No2 at GBrf’s Tuebrook Sidings in Liverpool. . The Class 69s are all to be returning to Progress Rail in Longport for rectification work / snagging for issues that have become apparent since their original release to traffic (including water egress and excessive engine noise). One of the above Class 69’s is apparently to stay at Tuebrook to undertake the Banking duties from Liverpool Bulk Terminal during the absence of LSL’s 57007, which has returned to Crewe for attention / exam. Progress on interior. All the wallpaper is done except for a really cute cupcake border I need to add to the bakery (lower left room), but I need to do ceiling trim first. The flooring paper isn't glued in yet. Next will be window and door trim, ceiling trim, etc.
I'm going to back off from my projects for a couple weeks because my sister is coming!! We are planning a couple of "craft days" though : ) : )

Hello to my favorite group on Flickr! i am sorry i have been a lousy visitor to your photos but things...good things for a change...are happening in my life right now. I need to focus a bit here and see them through, because they are things i have dreamed of for a very long time. I recently have begun to REALLY try hard to make those come true. I seem to be in the right place and at the right time, stars are aligning...reinforcing my idea that i truly was a misplaced southern soul when i was in Jersey. i promise to get back into this, as soon as the dust settles here.
My artistic endeavors are beginning to pay off, and i could not be more excited (or scared!!). i love the thought that people are intrigued and accepting of my art here, and i am getting used to that....now comes the hard part. Stepping out of the teensy tiny comfort zone of being in front of people. I am making slow progress...and it gets a tiny bit easier as i go...but it really does give me pause when i have too much time to anticipate it! I will always be much more comfortable alone, with just with one or two friends or my cats, or books for company. I just need to get to the point that i can self talk myself thru the hopefully limited outings i need to do in front of people!
Thanks in advance for your patience while i make this journey ...i promise i will get back here with the friends and family i have made here...where i am comfortable! (((HUGS)))
