I received a light prism cube from Mrs. Krach for Christmas. It is only 2cm cube, but shining the light through it creates all kinds of patterns and colors. Had some fun with it on this first day of the year that is gray and gloomy here in Maryland. How better to brighten things up then creating a set up in the bathroom with the cube and light?
If there is anything more fun than going to Trader Joes, buying some flowers and then coming home and dragging out all your lensbabies and playing with them, I don't know what it would be. LOL

My first attempt at prism photography with crystal triangular prism. Shot with Canon EOS 300 35mm and 75-300mm telephoto, Kodak Portra 400
At this year's iLight festival held at the Marina Bay and surrounding areas, several light and art installations can be found within walking distance from each other.
Often, many have environmental themes that evoke us to think of the impact that our actions have on the environment and Mother Nature.
In this shot here, numerous truncated pyramids transform from a natural light shaft in the day to a glowing beacon of interactive artificial lighting at night. It invites visitors to experience the calming and healing world of chromotherapy.
Macro Mondays theme: Glass
The subject glass is a prism, the hypotenuse of which is a little over an inch. I placed it on its end in front of a double glazed window and photographed a gloomy sky through it from a low angle.

Its features include a glass prism that forms a mosaic that catches and distributes the natural light, representing a traditional stained-glass window in a 3-D version.
But the church was closed when we got there...
