I was packing up the girls' costumes and wanted to get some photos of the most recent ones, since I didn't get any good ones back during Halloween.
This is Alex's Princess Bubblegum costume. I made the dress by modifying a commercial pattern. Working with that satin was a nightmare! It was impossible to find a child-size pink wig that was the right color and length, so I bought a white one and used the alcohol and ink method to color it (after my attempt at using RIT failed horribly). The crown is made from a flexible cutting mat sandwiched between two layers of craft foam that was painted yellow.
